O No My auto box developed a fault today From a stand still the engine just revved up when in drive then an almighty Bang and it took off, I thought the car behind me had run into the back of me, it then settled down for a while before it did it again just like your foot slipped of the clutch pedal in a manual, and this time when changing up through the gears the rev counter would fly up before going into the gear. I managed to get the car into the dealers but I have my doubts they can fix it as it's a specialist job for auto transmission. I hope Mazda comes up with a loan car ASAP as I have only covered 1500 miles from new. Hope this hasn't put the wind up other CX 3 owners with the Auto box fitted, it's just my luck

Keep us informed buddy. Tell Mazda you want a loan car now - this is unacceptable.

Thanks UberbabeUberbabe wrote:That sucks, I'm sorry Bill. I think that Mazda should give you a brand new replacement CX-3.
I have contacted Mazda Customer Care and expressed to them If my car requires a major strip down I want a new replacement car, I went to the dealers today to get my camera from the car and it hadn't been touched yet, it may turn out to be a computer fault and not mechanical one. but I think it's a mechanical failure my self, will let you know what happens and see how good Mazda's warranty is !

Hi anchormananchorman wrote:How you getting on with your claim Bill?
Thanks for inquiring. No joy yet, I went out to the dealer and removed all my personnel belongings from the car and noted they had started to strip out the gear lever inside the car, when I spoke to the sales manager again he said it was just a simple matter of swapping the gearbox. He is no mechanic, I told him again I have rejected the car and he informed me that was a decision for Mazda to make not him, I have been on to Mazda customer care and am waiting to hear back from them. I am prepared to except a like for like replacement or my money back, and I don't think the later will happen, so all I can do now is wait and run about in the hired Renault Capture.

I don't blame you for rejecting it because, frankly, they don't have pukka mechanics, just nvq style fitters in many cases and they can do more harm than good. I also wonder why they are pulling the gearstick to bits when the box went bang?Bill wrote:Hi anchormananchorman wrote:How you getting on with your claim Bill?
