Re: Recall - Diesel models

I also had my recall letter from Mazda (Campaign AJ004A), for the Engine Maximum Speed Concern. I have just contacted my Mazda dealer, who confirmed that it was for diesels only, which mine is, but on checking their history of my car they said that it had already had the required software update car...

Re: CX-3d turbo lag.

My CX-3 went in last week for the first year service, and I discussed with the dealer (Furrows of Shrewsbury) my concern about the 'turbo lag'. By then I had decided that it was not true turbo lag, but lack of boost at low speeds ( which happened twice on my Rover 75 when the mass air flow meter fai...

Re: What updates for the New 2019 CX3 would you like.

My CX-3 is still very new to me, so I am pleased with almost everything so far. Having just fitted my dash cam, I fully agree with the idea of a built in one. The large blank area behind the mirror, which seems to be full of camera, radar, rain sensor etc. must have space for a dash cam, and it stop...

CX-3d turbo lag.

Have only had my CX-3 for about 6 weeks, and still enjoy driving it - especially as the weather is improving a bit. Having come from the Rover Tourer with the 2 litre TD4 diesel, I was a little surprised at the turbo lag on acceleration. It is only slight, possibly half a second, until the revs reac...

Re: Previous cars?

Previous cars (plus 2 motorcycles). Velocette Venom BSA Gold Star Jowett Javelin (fine if you don't mind taking off front wheels to change spark plugs) Singer 9 Roadster (good fun, until the wood frame - ash I think- rotted to the point of dangerous, and my woodwork skills were not enough) Sunbeam T...

Water drain points under bonnet

Hello again. I am still amazed how enjoyable I am finding driving the CX-3, after 2 whole weeks ownership. Just one query so far. On my previous car, the Rover75, there was a well known problem that caused many owners an expensive repair, which was blocked drainage holes in the plenum chamber in fro...

Re: New member from Shropshire.

Thanks to all for your replies. I will certainly check tyre pressures - it was checked over by the garage before I took it, so they might be wrong. Otherwise I will leave it for the summer, and review the situation before next winter.
Still having fun driving it.

Bob.

New member from Shropshire.

Hi, I am Bob, from North Shropshire. We got our nearly new (mid 2017, 4000 miles) CX-3 a couple of weeks ago, and I am very pleased with it. It is a 1.5D SPORT NAV, AWD, 6 speed manual, in black mica. The only extra I ordered was a proper spare wheel. I joined this forum after a few visits as a gues...
