Re: Auto box

I would be somewhat concerned with parking a car on a slope relying solely on the handbrake, certainly not the best advice.

Re: The end of the CX3?

I don't understand which market sector Mazda are aiming at with the CX30. It is certainly not the prettiest car in their range and the price puts it up against some pretty stiff opposition. Think they have shot themselves in the foot.

Service costs

I paid up front for the first three years servicing with the Mazda dealer in Gloucester when the first service was carried out last March, cost was £549. Sounds like a good deal looking at prices now being quoted.

Rear sensors

Sensors do not detect anything above bumper height either, just damaged rear door on lift which protruded from rear of van above bumper height. Sensors were below the lift.

Re: Rear Fog Lights, Only One Working.

I seem to remember that JT has previously posted a reply to this question.
Two fog lights are illegal as they could be confused with brake lights.

Re: Touch Up Paint

I bought a touch up kit from Chipex. Cost approx £40, not cheap and not as easy to use as they imply, but colour match to Eternal Blue was excellent. Check Chipex web site for up to date price etc. One advantage is if you mess it up first time you can try again as it is a one coat process, no lacque...

Re: Servicing costs

Dogfuzz, just paid same for three years service plan. Advised by dealer that it is redeemable at any Mazda approved service provider so dealer losing franchise or you moving area should not be a problem

Re: For Sale : Spare Wheel Kit (Bose)

I have fitted a full size spare and yes it is heavy. If you have a spacesaver spare you still have to lift the full sized wheel which you have just taken off the car into the boot. The advantage of having a full size spare you can fit it to either axle not just the rear as with the spacesaver. Anywa...

Re: horn

DSCN1080 (2).JPG Just fitted two Fiamm AM80S horns. Bolted an L shaped bracket to the lower black chasis member on the RHS, using existing holes, with an M8 bolt. Secured the two horns, facing forwards, using the supplied brackets either side of the L bracket to increase clearance between them, aga...

Re: horn

Don't know if you received my reply thanking you for information. Just ordered two Fiamm horns. Will hopefully get round to fitting them when weather improves. Scrabbling round in a cold garage at 80 is not recommended.
Thanks again for information.
John (Brum).
