Cx3 Drinking Coolant Over Hot 2022 Summer

Just a question: Has anyone checked their coolant this autumn/winter and noticed a big drop after the really hot summer? My Cx3 typically uses a small amount of coolant each year. Guess some do, some don't. it just needs a small top up. Dealers use small sachets for this that mine does not sell . ....

Re: Red Key Symbol on dash on attempted Emergency Start & Thoughts on Start/Stop effect on Main Battery Lifetime

Your car is a 2016 so battery probably needs changing, don't seem to last as long as they used to.. Low battery will cause weird things on the car. As for stop start, I switch it off, I don't like it and it kills batteries. Many thanks Graeme for confirming the battery lifetime expectation. Accordi...

Red Key Symbol on dash on attempted Emergency Start & Thoughts on Start/Stop effect on Main Battery Lifetime

The Cx3 (2016 Auto) is not my car so some of this info is indirect, and apologies for the quality. I thought it might be of interest though. Event: Cx3 in pub car park for about 2 hours. Radio used while waiting for short time for other guest. Thought radio turned off when guest arrived(? - perhaps ...

Re: condensation in headlamp

Been there - also the nearside (other side fine) First question - is there any bumper damage (somebody may have reversed into you, perhaps quite gently and that can crack the seal on the light unit) That said I believe Mazda made some bad units with faulty seals - can you add what vintage your Cv3 i...

Re: Water in CX3 Headlights - What is the latest Situation with Mazda

Many thanks Julian for some clear thinking on this headlamp issue. I see it as water (that does not go away), not the bit of mist that clears that I've had on other cars in the past. The water was present through the hot summer. The ATS check is a good idea. By the dealer I've been quoted (all inc V...

Water in CX3 Headlights - What is the latest Situation with Mazda

For my 2016 CX3: During the summer the Cx3 has now got water in the nearside headlamp unit. The offside is just fine. I think this is a known manufacturing fault? (from previous posts & internet) Aside: There is the side issue that the headlamp can be damaged by minor accident damage to the bump...

Front Towing Eye Cover Supply / Painting / Fitting etc.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Clocked up some miles in Cx3 (which belongs to SWMBO but she very kindly lets me drive it when I've been a good boy . . . ) My only fault (the car I mean) at the moment is a missing front nearside towing eye cover (Yes that was my totally totally fault, and I am ...

Re: Stains on alloy wheels

For rusting locking nuts I always paint the outer lock bit (that the key engages with) with Finnegans wax oil, after torquing up. Torque up is probably bound to damage chrome. Then periodic re-wax. It all depends how long you want the nuts to last and if you have cash for new ones. My tin of this pr...

Re: Stains on alloy wheels

Just a personal view. Current industry trend that Mazda have followed for "Diamond cut" wheels is I think unfortunate. I'm guessing its really hard to paint anything well that has sharp edges (Sorry from photo hard to tell). Turbulence at the edge means paint/lacquer won't stick. The other...

Re: i stop start

In urban or motorway traffic jam situations etc. stop/start must be a good idea (until we can afford electric cars). It would be nice though if the default could be changed to start disabled for those that don't live in urban areas - is that possible ? From a safety point of view I think its better ...
