Re: Flashing Wrench Light
I was a bit worried about changing the filter myself so i took it to my local garage (Not mazda), They just unscrewed the old filter and caught he excess diesel that was in the filter, It was black,, screwed new fiter on and started the engine which cut out after about a minute, Cracked it over and...

Re: Mazda bodywork guarantee.
Mazda paintwork is both thin and soft and in my opinion “not fit for purpose”. Our 2016 M2 has hundreds of stone chips on the front bumper and 10-20 on each of the bonnet, wings and roof from normal use (never tailgate). I tried to claim on the Mazda paintwork warranty in first 3 years and it was in...

Re: Flashing Wrench Light
To answer my own question, yes it is. Once the cover is removed would it be possible to simply unscrew the filter from the housing using a 76mm oil filter socket? This would save undoing the housing and disconnecting and reconnecting the fuel lines with all the associated access problems! Has anyone...

Are you sure you've got the right car. Or are you just forgetting to pay Rishi Sunak his pound of flesh?

Re: Dual Mass Flywheel kaput after 39000 miles
Touch wood we have had no issues so far with DPF, injectors or EGR but suspect it’s only a matter of time! With regards the Aircon, I suspect that when the condenser was replaced on our car under the recall that the dealership fudged it and managed to allow most of the coolant to escape. Had it rega...

Re: Dual Mass Flywheel kaput after 39000 miles
Does anyone have any knowledge of the signs of DMF failure? I think the DMF on our Mazda 2 1.5 diesel might be on its way out @ 63,000 miles. Over the last 6 months I have noticed an occasional judder from the clutch when changing from 1st to 2nd and the car seems to “surge” at about 30mph in 4th g...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
Just an update for the one person who still has a diesel on this site. Took the car out yesterday for a 60 mile run and the car was really struggling up hills on a part throttle for the first half of the journey. It felt well down on power, so I detached the MAF sensor to test it. This made no diffe...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
1st regen since oil change after 210 miles. Car was doing 70mph on motorway and instant consumption fell from 60-70mpg to 30-35mpg for 10 minutes. Car felt very sluggish during the regen. From this am I correct in thinking the engine only does active regens and does not perform passive ones? From lo...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
Just sorry we can't help! Can't you get it to an independent diesel specialist? No worries. I was just seeing if anyone else on here had any experience of DPF issues and maybe get an idea of how often their diesel engined cars were performing a regen. Hopefully it’s just a storm in a teacup. After ...
