Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
Some really useful information here. Mis- fueling as car is one of my reasons not to drive a diesel. I simply dont trust myself. Modern diesels seem to be very susceptible to having issues with running on petrol. More than 40 years ago, we would routinely run landrover diesels with a gallon of petro...

Re: Replacement key fob.
I sympathise with only having one key. I have noticed that dealers seem to attach great importance to having two working key fobs. With this in mind, when we looked at buying our CX, I enquired whether it had two keyfobs and was informed it hadnt. Having pointed out that the car seems to be immediat...

Re: Automatic Vs manual
I found that economy is hardly different between auto and manual for some road use . I use our car mostly on dual carriageways and motorways for 100 mile journeys. I travel at about lorry speed so as not to get in their way and ensure they dont get in my way. So the only reasons I have for not trave...

Re: CX3 Fuel pump recall
Our CX3 was booked in for April 6th fuel pump. Cancelled at no notice. I was wondering, how many miles will the cars do on the old fuel pumps?

Can't fault you. We traded in a Mazda 6 for our CX3. Traded in one really good car for another really good car.

Re: Automatic Vs manual
My wife only passed her auto testand not a manual test so we both drive autos. I drive an auto because its useful for her to be able to drive my car and also because I noticed many years ago that the roads were becoming very congested such that the negligable lack of acceleration of an auto vs manua...

Re: Air Con leak
One of the problems with air conditioning is that the vehicle industry really aren't all that interested in the maintenance of just one particular car accessory. On one hand there is a whole refrigeration industry which has a four year trainng programme which concentrates on nothing but refrigeratio...

Re: Service price
You dont get very much for a "service" these days, mostly because there isnt very much to do. A quick look for ECU flags, change filters and fluids and advise the tyre and brake wear. Most service centres valet the car and make a service video and there's your 3 hours a year service comple...
