Re: Noise under the dash when air on is on
Still got the tapping noise but now I have a change of scenario when I hear the noise. I can only describe the noise as two metal press studs on a jacket tapping together. During cold weather or the first journey in a morning, everything is nice and quiet. However after being left out in sunshine fo...

Re: Prosective CX-3 Owner
I am a bit cynical on DPF systems. Theoretically you shouldn’t have any issue if you do a mixture of short and long runs. My other car is a Volvo S60 with a 2.4 lire 5 cylinder diesel in which I have done 40K miles in 3 years. No warning lights for the DPF A couple of years back we had a second gene...

Re: Prosective CX-3 Owner
Went for the 2 litre petrol and I’m happy with my choice. Saw 49 mpg on a run recently and get about 43 mpg around town. No diesel DPF issues to worry about and with petrol being so much cheaper than diesel I’m not too bothered about the mpg difference. Decent engine to rev out too ( occasionally 😬 ...

Re: Replacement key fob.
Found!
In the pocket of my work trousers and they got in the wash. I blame the keyless locking system
Found it several washes later in the rubber door seal of the washing machine!
Took it apart, dried it out and hey presto I’m back to two working keys.

Totally mislaid one of my key fobs.
Anyone know of the most economic way of getting a replacement ? I’m thinking it will be expensive.

Noise under the dash when air on is on
Strange one this. When the air on has been blowing cold for a few minutes I get a tapping noise from under the dash. It only happens over bumps and gradually disappears if I turn off the aircon. The noise I can only describe as two pieces of metal tapping together. The longer the aircon is on the lo...

Re: Previous cars?
I part ex’d a Honda CRV for the CX3 because there were some big bills looming. A new clutch, priced at £1200 at my local independent garage! The power steering pump was making a noise and the steering was getting heavy, £200 + labour. In addition the gearbox itself was starting to whine. I’d normall...

Re: Premium Diesel V Standard Diesel
Doesn’t seem to increase economy by much. My friend put premium in his Mazda 3 by mistake. The result apart from a much bigger bill? 0.3 mpg increase
