Re: Headlights

As I understand it, all lights are Type approved for the bulb they were designed with. If you replace the bulb with a different type then the light is no longer road legal & should fail an MOT.

Re: Headlights

...I have adjusted level to maximum height setting... Do you mean you've raised the height using the adjustment screw on the headlamp itself? If so, that's daft, as it has to be adjusted correctly using a beam tester screen. To do otherwise risks blinding oncoming drivers. ...I’m now driving about ...

Re: smart brake warning light

It's normal. Mazda are aware of the issue. They published guidance to dealers Worldwide in December 2016 with a note " The foggy FSC (forward sensing camera) lens may occur at some weather conditions and is not caused by a defect of the parts. When the warning message is displayed, drive the vehicle...

Re: 1.5 skyactiv diesel Remap and/or DPF delete anyone?

I have a 2015 Diesel but confess to not being particularly mechanically minded, so I don't think I'll be much help in this case. I haven't had any of the issues you allude to. I don't usually notice when mine is doing DPF regens. If yours is often failing to complete active regens, that will usually...

Re: Possible Clutch Release Bearing issue??

Mazda Extended Warranty Policy Handbook states items covered by the Elite level include "CLUTCH -Release bearing, master and slave cylinders (excluding burnt out parts and general wear and tear)." If it turns out to be a fault caused by wear then it won't be covered by the policy.

Re: Fun refitting interior light

Perhaps you only have the Quick Guide, if so, you need to download a copy of the full manual (8GT4 From 02/2015) from mazda.co.uk as bulb replacement is definately in that one. I don't have illuminated sun visor mirrors in mine either. The Mazda LED pack I bought only did the front & rear interior l...

Re: Fun refitting interior light

Did you look at the instructions on page 6-53 of the Owner's Manual? When I did it, the lenses came off and went back on quite easilly.

Re: TPMS

Possibly. Although the tyres come from the factory inflated above the normal pressure and the dealer reduces to the correct pressure during the PDI and should reset the TPMS prior to handing over the car. If they didn't do the reset, the new owner has to deal with the resulting loss of pressure warn...
