Re: CX3 as a plant pot

With the current COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions, a driveway plant pot may be a good use for the car

Re: Mazda Toolbox Map Update Problem

Thanks, st3v3cx-3. Another thought, although a bit of a long shot; double check that the SD Card hasn't become physically locked. i.e. Locate the small switch on the side of the SD card and ensure it's slid up towards the end with the notch. If it's not unlocked the software will be unable to write ...

Re: Mazda Toolbox Map Update Problem

It's never happened to me so I can't be sure. Does the SD card still work in the car? If not, and some files are now missing or corrupt, you should be able to use the Toolbox software to restore the original configuration from the backup file that you made before starting the update download. Failin...

Re: MOT's during Covid - 19 outbreak

Also, Mazda UK has announced that if your car needs servicing and your dealership service dept. is closed because of the pandemic, it will not impact your warranty if scheduled maintenance is completed when the country is back to normal,, however, additional mileage must not exceed 1,875 miles over ...

Re: Instrument cluster (Tachometer) Screen Flickers and Freezes

I doubt the software is lost, more likely the facility to do it has been withdrawn to avoid misuse. They probably put a sticker on the door frame or somewhere, cerifiying the actual mileage.

Re: Trapped in the car

Not that I'm aware of. The whole point of double locking is that you can't open the car from the inside (unless you have the key fob).
Why your car locked itself after you got in is a mystery, unless you accidentally pressed the lock button on the fob.

Re: G’day.

Rattly CX-3 rear spoilers (when you close the liftgate) were the subject of a Mazda Service Bulletin back in 2016, ref. R064 /16. There was a mass production change where the thickness of the four protectors between the rear spoiler and the rear window glass was increased from 2mm to 3.5mm to give t...

Re: Air con drain point

Also worth checking your cabin pollen filter (behind the glovebox) because if that's clogged up it will restrict air flow through the windscreen vents. It doesn't cost much to replace.
