My Car will get a waxoil treatment at the dealer before delivery. Had that also on the former Peugeots, like it very much stays good for at least 2 years. I did mine with Tetroseal which stays slightly tacky and doesn't dry out like waxoyl. I think Eurocarparts do it for £20 delivered. http://i180....
