Re: What's your MPG

About 43, actual fuel used over the last 80 000km.

Re: Noise!

I could probably have made mine last for another few thousand km, but had had enough. I do high mileage, and it still took me a year to wear them out.

Re: Folding mirror motor wouldn't stop

This happened to me a while back. The lever that pulls the mirror in and out broke, and they unplugged the motor inside the door until they could get a replacement mirror. It was replaced under warranty, at no charge.

Re: Noise!

I hated the Bridgestones that mine came with. At 60 000km, I replaced them with Yokohama Geolander G900s, and am much happier. They're a lot quieter, and that's not the first time I've had noisty Bridgestones.

Re: Space saver

I'm not sure what upset you. I merely said you were unlucky, I didn't mean to infer that you had been running at low pressures, just that it is the most common cause. Obviously only you know what you meant, but your post, especially your use of inverted commas, did indeed read as if you were inferr...

Re: What kit was in your boot?

Thanks for the replies. Thought I may have been short changed for a while but apparently not. Does seem odd having two towing eyes though?? I agree. I think my manual said something about a long one and a short one, but they're the same size. Then I thought maybe one was for the front and one for t...

rockposer wrote: Mon Apr 10, 2017 6:50 am Well seeing as mine's a manual transmission, I tend to concentrate on changing gear rather than faffing around with hot drinks as I drive :D
I also drive a manual, but prefer my coffee to an arm rest.

Re: Another new owner!

So much so that I didn't even ask when I was test driving the car, and didn't notice that it didn't lock. I wonder if there is a way to enable it somehow. I'm not sure what is possible on Mazda's by connecting a diagnostic computer, but I'd be surprised if it can't be done by someone who has access ...

Re: Mounting bolt for spare wheel

Here is what mine looks like. It's an M8 thread, and 60mm long, with a large dished washer to fill the hub.

Re: Fixed price Service - is it worth it?

Probably not really relevant to the discussion on the cost of the fixed price service, but hopefully of interest anyway is that in South Africa, Mazdas come with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty and service plan. Obviously it's not really 'free' and the costs are built into the purchase price, bu...
