Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?

Thanks JT As soon as I release pressure on the foot pedal, the engine starts...hence my question about how you hold the car when the auto is in drive... Firstly I have an auto with an electronic handbrake and auto hold function on the foot brake, but the principal is the same. When you put your foo...

Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?

Oh, and I found a way to show the message: When the engine has stopped using i-Stop lightly release the brake until the engine restarts but remain stationary, this wayi-Stop wont reactivate and the message is displayed. It still doesn't make sense, so I think it's a programming issue not showing th...

Re: mazda CX30

For me there would appear to be no benefit to changing to the CX-30. I don't need a bigger car, although it says the CX-30 is still cramped in the back and has a small luggage space. The performance figures using the Skyactiv-G are worse than the CX-3 and I don't think with the mileage I do I could ...

Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?

My i-Stop works as it should, most of the time anyway, but a couple of times this last week it's started to come up with a strange message, at least because I drive an automatic: It will activate i-Stop and stop the engine but then restart after about 2 seconds. Normally this would be due to aircon...

Re: New member

Hi Jimmy and welcome to the forums. I'm sure you will enjoy every mile you drive in your new purchase.
I'm nearly as happy driving my CX-3 as I am driving my MX-5.

Re: smart brake warning light

It's generally caused by condensation on the glass or lens on these cold wet mornings. It usually goes out after a few minutes.

Re: Turn off i-Stop Permanently?

Thanks for the reply Mark, I read on a recent post from a guy who said that the constant stop & starting was not good for the battery. I did a quick search on ECP and a new battery costs £197.99  The Mazda battery is a heavy duty battery specifically designed with i-stop in mind. Which is wh...
