Re: Whats the real MPG

How much of an improvement did you get when you had the car chipped? About 10%?

Re: New to the site

I have had both my condenser and control unit replaced. The condenser was replaced because they had a faulty batch from the Chinese supplier which caused a loss of refrigerant. The control TSB is for a heating issue, not cooling. When the ambient temperature dropped to 10 degrees it would somehow ch...

Re: Sat nav on heads up display. How?

Oh dear, is this what technology is doing to us? When I started driving it was a struggle to find a detailed map and adequate road signs. Now we complain about house numbers not appearing on our sat nav. I do agree the Mazda sat nav leaves a lot to be desired compared with others, but at least it is...

Re: New motoring offence from the 29th June 2018

Without doubt cyclists should be held responsible for their actions, and the laws relating to cyclists should be expanded to encompass all of the laws that relate to all road users. With the increasing number of cyclists on the roads today it is essential that these laws are changed to cover everybo...

Re: Whats the real MPG

Agree with Steve, around town and short runs 38-40mpg, longer runs around 45mpg. The best I've had on an 80 mile round trip was 52mpg.

Re: What has gone wrong with Mazda dealers?

You would think Mazda UK would support and encourage their dealers for test drives. They should take requests for test drives themselves and then pass them out to the nearest dealer. I don't see any issues with this and everybody would benefit.

Re: Jerky ride

I don't have any issues with a jerky ride as long as I keep the revs up a bit higher than the old Alpha Diesel I had. Used to have a 5 cylinder 2.4 l and I could just take my foot off the clutch and it would move forward smoothly without touching the accelerator. Maybe it's just about getting used t...

Re: Previous cars?

I've had 5 Alfas, loved every one, but the pick of the crop were the two 156 2.4 JTD Veloces. What an engine that was, 5 cylinder 175 BHP diesel in a small car, wow. Averaged 55 mpg and on a 300 mile round trip I even managed 73 mpg. Performance was outstanding. For those who complain the CX3 is a h...

Re: Wing mirror :(

I used them when somebody backed a trailer into my car. It was a relatively small scratch on the rear wing and wheel arch. Mazda assist were very helpful to me, but I feel they may not be the most ethical company. They immediately arranged a hire car and took mine away for inspection. Then they arra...

Re: tyres

Mazda didn't put much soundproofing in the early CX-3 models which saved weight (and money). You might consider fitting a kit diy or professionally - e.g. https://www.nkgroup.co.uk/product-category/vehicles/cars/ ? At last the truth comes out! I have complained about the CX-3's noisy ride ever sinc...
