Re: iPhone 12 Pro and Carplay

Thanks JT. After a frustrating afternoon I had a good think about what I’d done with the phone after setting it up and it occurred to me I’d only charged it wirelessly so connecting it in the car was the first time it had been connected to anything with a cable. I then tried charging from various po...

iPhone 12 Pro and Carplay

Anyone using the new iPhone 12 successfully with CarPlay?

Using and official Apple USB A to Lightning cable and it neither charges or connects. My previous iPhone XS worked fine.

Re: Air con drain point

Thanks JT, did that at the weekend. Pretty much spotless, but gave it a hoover anyway. I’ve only done about 3000 miles since it was replaced.

Air con drain point

Anyone able to tell me where the drain point is for the AC (ie where the condense water drips out from)?

My winter steaming up problem seems to be worse now than ever and I just want to check it’s not blocked in any way.

Thanks!

Re: rear screen heater/condensation.

My 2017 is exactly the same. Door mirrors heat up no problem, the rear screen works (just) but may as well not bother. As for the front screen, I have two 'cat litter' bags in there but still have to squeegie the inside unless I can spare 6 or 7 minutes to wait for it to have an effect. In truth, it...

Dashboard buttons that aren't completely hidden from view by the steering wheel.

Demist system that doesn't take an entire winter season to clear the glass.

Re: Android Auto and Car play

I got mine from this eBay seller as separate parts but looks like they sell it as a full kit now. Includes the usb box, cable and foam tape (to stop rattles)

Re: Android Auto and Car play

Go back and have a good moan and maybe they’ll put it in for you. As a consumer you can pick up the required parts for less than £200 and at about an hour or so to fit it’s not exactly an expensive goodwill gesture for them. I, and many others, have just bought the required USB box and new cable and...
