Re: I'm actually impressed with the fuel economy on this mahine
I was trying to see how good the fuel economy could be, over the Christmas period while visiting family along the south west coast (and Isle of Wight). I reset the meter and then drove the car for a week out of London (quite a bit of motorway, country lane and town driving), so other than the North ...

Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?
Think I will have to wait a long while before I see any return on my "investment". The technology associated with the istop system must add several hundred pounds to the cost of the car, but so far in 16000 miles it has saved me 40 miles, a grand total of £5. WOW, win win eh. As I, and ot...

Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?
It has just dawned on me that iStop might actually work better with a Manual than it does with an Automatic... Since I can choose when the iStop comes on with the clutch, I never have the engine shut down if I can see I'm only going to be stopped for a second or so...

Re: Mazda CX-3 iStop - problem or no problem?
iStop has been working exactly as advertised for me. Mostly only use the car only at weekends, saved 25miles. I have no issue with "wear and tear", I still have a 26 year old Mk1 MX-5 running fine... and that engine ran for 6 months without any oil (Girl friend didn't notice the lack of oi...

Re: MPG
It might be worth doing a manual check.
1. Fill the tank up to the brim.
2. Reset the odometer.
3. Drive around for a couple of days.
4. Fill up to the brim again and note the amount you put in.
Divide the reading on the odometer, by the amount of fuel you just put in.

Re: MPG
I would recommend, resetting the MPG computer, then doing a nice long gentle motorway run. This will set the base MPG around 50. Then normal driving after that should stabilise around 43MPG which seems to be the sweet spot for the 2WD petrol CX3. You need to reset the computer, because the dealer ru...

Re: Couple of questions
Hi Harrrrrrry,
Does the GT have a CMU? You can go to the settings page and turn it off there. If your car doesn't have a CMU then you will just have to learn how to your your indicators, the car doesn't warn you if you let it know you want to change lanes

Re: Delivery Mileage
Both my mk4 MX-5 Sports Nav and CX-3 Sports Nav (bought from the same dealer), both had 7miles on the clock when I picked them up.

Re: cx3 break in period
My mk4 MX-5 Sports Nav, definitely improved in performance and efficiency after around 600 miles. My guess is that the engine loosens up and lubricants permeate throughout the systems during the breakin period.
