Re: Trapped in the car

Yep, I did touch my key fob after I got in so I could have pressed something I shouldn't.

Trapped in the car

Hi all, I've a 2017 CX3 sport nav 4x4. I had a frightening moment this afternoon, unlocked the door as usual, using the button on the door handle (I've disabled the auto locking feature, so I either press the the key fob or press the button on the handle). I got in the car, closed the door, the alar...

Re: Advanced Security System worry

Thanks again all for the tips, I have decided to disable the walk away and everyones happy. The boot still opens and closes without have to use the key fob, apart from being on your person. That's useful. And the rest is just what I'm already used to with other cars, except it's nice to just have to...

Re: Advanced Security System worry

Rapid repeated beeps when you walk away is more likely the fact that it was alerting you that the ignition was still on (i-stop may have shut off the engine, but you then have to press the start/stop button if you're leaving the car). There is no logical reason why the loaded weight would have any ...

Re: Advanced Security System worry

I've disabled walk away in settings. Seems the simplest option. I'll get used to pressing the button again. It can be a pain having everything automated. When I was moving house recently I had a fully loaded car. I don't know why but the walk away feature didn't work above a certain loaded weight. i...

Re: Advanced Security System worry

Not had the "not locking" issue but I always wait for the double beep. As I walk away.

So If my key fob fails while in car for some reason, fault or flat battery, I should have no problem opening a door??

Re: Advanced Security System worry

Thanks Anchorman for the tip. So with the walk away facility it always double locks?? I like the walk away facility but not the double lock, I suppose one can't have everything. If it's double locks, is there anyway to unlock from inside?? If there is, it defeats the point of double lock. That is po...

Re: Advanced Security System worry

My wife tried to open the door when the alarm went off, but she couldn't.
Does the alarm double lock the door to trap the intruder.

Advanced Security System worry

Hi all, This is my first post so be kind. I have a CX-3 Sport NAV 2.0 litre AWD 2017 model. This came with the Keyless Advanced Security System that enables me to just walk away after closing the door. I don't have to press the lock button. Something happened the other day that worries me. I pulled ...
