Re: CX3 rear seatbelt problem

Not sure yet, the part was ordered by my garage who were doing the MOT. Will find out when I get the bill but about £250.

Re: CX3 rear seatbelt problem

My 2016 CX3 went for its MOT last week and failed. The person carrying out the checks had pulled a rear belts right out to inspect the webbing and now it will not retract. As I need the car and the MOT was about to expire I chose to get my garage to order a replacement belt assembly, not easy using ...

Re: Jerky ride

AndyRen On a very small number of occasions, perhaps eight in total, I have had a juddering issue, I thought it might be a clutch judder or possibly something to do with the engine still doing its warm up process. It is always first drive of the day, and the first proper pull away, in first, from st...

Re: premium v regular unleaded

I only ever use 95 regular petrol all the time and get 42.9 mpg as a long term average, my usual journey distance is probably about 20 miles with an occasional 50 mile run.

Re: New Member - Also query re: auto headlights and auto windscreen wipers not functioning

Hi Peter Make sure the steering column stalks are in the correct position, just selecting AUTO on the twist selector ring isn't enough. I am sure the left hand stalk, which moves forward/back for dip/main needs to be set on main for the lights to function in AUTO. The wiper stalk may be something si...

Re: 120BHP engine

I also traded in a Golf, mine was a 1.4 TSI turbo petrol which ran smoothly and loved to rev but lacked torque, supposed to have similar power to the CX-3. The 2ltr CX-3 is great, not as smooth also likes to rev and power is always available where the Golf would be off song sometimes but that's a tu...

Re: Alloy pedal covers.

Sorry to say but these would be an MOT fail and could cause you insurance problems if the vehicle was involved in an accident, it might be declared as being unroadworthy at the time.

Re: Air Con fail and fix

Further to my post on the 14th of April, my car did go in for investigation on the 26th of April and a leaking condenser was diagnosed, I was ready to argue the £69 charge they talked about when I first rang them but it wasn't even mentioned this time, but annoyingly they couldn't fix it on the 26th...

Re: Air Con fail and fix

I suspected the aircon in my 2016 CX-s had failed a while ago, confirmed now that the outside temperature has risen. I rang my dealer who said I could book it in for a technician to investigate the fault at a charge to me of £69, then if the defect was confirmed they would carry out the repair, cove...
