I agree that using their claims management company would be expensive to the other party’s insurer - in my case they gave me a LR Discovery Sport which I hadn’t asked for and was then queried by the other party’s insurer. They did a sterling job on the repair though.

Hi, I had the Armster fitted by my dealer when I took delivery. It’s fine, but is not fitted the same way as the OE - i.e. the centre housing is not removed as it does not have the metal support of the OE version, meaning it’s not as robust. As long as you don’t plan to put your entire weight on it,...

Checking the official list, the CX3 doesn’t seem to be on it, unless the latest version has true keyless entry i.e. it automatically unlocks when you walk up to the car with the key in your pocket without pressing any buttons.

Surely this regulation is effectively outdated now with the advent of stop-start. If we’re expected to use this technology, the only way possible is by keeping your foot on the brake until you lift off to restart the car.
