Re: Diesel in Engine Oil

Thanks JT.

jtucker. I’m not prepared to put the process on the forum because it is a special procedure. If you send me a private message, I’ll give you some contact details and we can discuss exactly what is going on with your car and then I’ll tell you about the forced regen process.

Re: Condensation on windscreen

Yes, they do sometimes do that if the window mists up. It’s normal and there is often a message saying don’t expect it to work until the windscreen is fully demisted.

Although the plugs aren’t scheduled for changing, one can occasionally develop a fault where it will break down under very cold or damp conditions. The same could however be said for the coils which are positioned directly over the plug. However, as the plugs are the wearing parts, I would go for th...

Re: Condensation on windscreen

Blimey, I don’t do any of the above. Never heard such tripe as a special calcite for the exhaust, it goes straight down the back like most cars and opening doors or covering the car? Nah, just get in and drive. I must admit, it did steam a bit in heavy rain but keep the cabin filter clean and all it...

Re: Engine violently shaking

Sounds like a misfire for some reason. Could be brought on by damp weather and while it isn’t right, I wouldn’t worry about it. You might be due for some new plugs or even an air filter (if it gets clogged it will run very rich at start up). See how it goes and get somebody to cast their eye over it...

Re: DPF regen again

It’s normal and it’s the price of meeting current emission legislation. You’ll find that current diesel anythings do similar things.

Re: Heated Steering Wheel

I think you need to check again. They have exactly the same control module and it modulates the power to stop it overheating.

Re: blue coolant light

Yes, crack on. The blue light is for info and if you read anything from it, your heater might not work and it might not be very economical while it is on.
