They aren’t all crooks - they have massive overheads at dealers but they will see if a customer will pay retail. However, I might prefer the dealer to an independent unless I know them well enough.

Get a few prices from local garages then go back to your dealer. They will compete if you barter.

Well I found the same thing with my CX3 if I’m honest. The suspension was way too soft for my liking and 4 up, the suspension did wallow about. Are you sure it is regenerating? The fans will run every time the climate control compressor operates and depending on the settings, the istop will not work. You can force a regen on a CX-3 but not by hammering it like you can pugs and such like. They are initiated under normal circumstances by either back pressure in the exhaust or on a time basis.

If you are buying new, the interior is about to be refreshed to include a power seat with lumbar support. It also gets an electric parking brake and much better laid out centre console with storage.

There is a TSB because the weather gets into the gears and can cause them to fail prematurely. They’ve improved the sealing on the later models.
