Re: New CX3 owner in the lake district
I have had two health checks in the last month, or rather my car has. The first, at my service, detailed my front tyres as Amber (3mm) & my rears as red (2.1mm) The second, when my battery was replaced, detail my front right as green at 4.1mm front left and rear left as Amber at 4.0mm, and the r...

Re: Red Key Symbol on dash on attempted Emergency Start & Thoughts on Start/Stop effect on Main Battery Lifetime
A couple of weeks ago when having a windscreen chip repair the uv light used to cure the resin deleted the battery enough to cause starting issues.
The battery symbol would never blue out, even after a full reconditioning battery charge.
These were the final indicators that my battery had had it.

Re: Red Key Symbol on dash on attempted Emergency Start & Thoughts on Start/Stop effect on Main Battery Lifetime
Finally had to change the battery this week after 85k miles & 5.5 years old. I-stop had stopped working and I'd had a couple of weird issues with starting the car. Seems like new now & no more issues.

Re: Fitting new horns
Fitted horn on left-hand bulkhead plates with 2 newly drilled holes. As I haven't got sausage fingers it was OK to disconnect existing wiring from existing horn & connect an extension wire.

Re: Fitting new horns
I fitted a Stebel horn ( brilliant) without taking any body parts off. That includes fingers, arms, legs, torsos & the like as well as grilles, bumpers etc.

Re: Dashcam Cable Routing Question
It's very easy. Push the cable past the top of windscreen under the head trim - it's not well formed so there plenty of gap. It can then be pushed under the rubber trim on the A pillar, then behind the glove box. Mine only really is visible where it comes into the area of the power socket.

Re: Space saver kit for sale
I decided to get the space saver and fitted it with the Bose sub-woofer at the weekend including homemade inserts made from an old insulation board. I had expected to have to either purchase a new retaining bolt or modify the existing. However if you remove the black plastic spacer which the sub- wo...
