Re: Tyres oem or another brand
I'm sure I would have got used to it if I only drove the CX3, but as I'm out in the MX5 at every opportunity it was noticeable every time I got back into the CX3. I also have access to other vehicles and still have no problem with the CX-3 now - how weird?!? :? Tyre pressures?? Who knows? Never min...

Re: Tyres oem or another brand
Toyo are currently fitted, have not had an issue with them, 24000 mls, so not complaining, just willing to try something different if there is anything out there. I'd stick with the Toyo's myself, it's funny Strangways mentioned the constant correcting because when we first had the car we noticed t...

Re: Tyres oem or another brand
I replaced both my front tyres with Falken after I had a puncture on my 2016 model. Everything felt the same although there was definitely a reduction in road noise. Problem was that the early models needed constant correcting when driving in a straight line and the tyre choice didn't appear to help...

Re: Changed my 2017 cx3
Hi Gordon, I also upgraded from a 2017 to a 2019 model. Can't say that I noticed any difference in the engine, probably because I went from manual to auto. The 2019 model has different suspension as well as the G vectoring, which as you say, make a tremendous improvement in the refinement. I actuall...

Re: Courtesy car
As a result of my dealer being a shared manufacturer type, I got a humble Ford B-Max as a courtesy car when my car went in for air con warranty repair last year! Sliding rear doors were interesting feature. I wouldn't have objected if they'd asked would I mind taking a MX-5 instead :) I didn't even...

Re: Courtesy car
Having dropped my car off for the climate control panel replacement I was pleasantly surprised to find my courtesy car was a brand new AWD manual CX-3 sport nav in white! Nice. Much quieter in the cabin and a far more refined (and less bumpy) ride. Was a bit worried about the electronic handbrake b...

Re: Skyactive X Engine
Hi Nick and welcome to the forums. I never owned a Golf, but I did have a couple of Alfa 156 with a 2.4 litre five cylinder multi jet turbos. I doubt very much if the Skyactive X would give the same sort of power as that. What I have realised though, is that I actually never needed to get to 60 mph ...

Re: 17mm locking Wheel Nut - 19mm Wheel Nut And Brace
I am of the generation who would not leave home without the reassurance of a spare wheel. The space saver kit came with a special socket which attaches to the wheel brace and fits the locking wheel nut. I too am from that generation, but after 53 years of driving and only one puncture I decided a s...

Re: 17mm locking Wheel Nut - 19mm Wheel Nut And Brace
I was told never to change my tyre on the hard shoulder, that's what breakdown cover is for. I'm sure the AA man (or whoever you are covered with) has got the correct wheel braces.

Re: Aftermarket armrest
I upgraded in January JT. I loved the old model, but I'm really impressed with the improvements they have made.jtonline wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 1:29 pmI'm still on the 2015 original model; and losing track of what's what on these newfangled modelsStrangways wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 12:47 pm My Sat Nav+ has an armrest fitted (maybe an elbow rest...
