How short a distance run did you do? I had it a few years ago in a Mazda 5 where I just drove it out of the garage, then back in a while later and next time I went to use the car it wouldn't start. The Mazda recovery man just pushed the accelerator pedal to the floor and wound it over until it start...

Just use good quality fuel and not supermarket stuff.......................Although others will disagree and say it's all the same .

I tried it a few years ago and I got better fuel consumption. When it was around 6p per litre more expensive it made economic sense to use it but now it seems to be between 10 and 12 ppl which is ridiculous so I'd rather sit in a queue for a few minutes rather than be ripped-off by a fuel company.

It should work as Turbo says. No different to a manual handbrake............The steeper the hill needs more revs just the same.
