Hmm... There's a "European (L.H.D. U.K.) specs." section which shows
3: Z
6: Drive Axle (5 or 6 = 2WD and E or F = 4WD)
10: Dummy
Which, on checking, matches the format of my own VIN. Sorry for any confusion. I was thrown by L.H.D. in the document section heading.

Re: OS versions
As of last night, the current version on Mazda's Technical Download Server for Mazda2 DJ, Mazda3 BM, Mazda6 GJ, CX-3 DK, CX-5 KE & MX-5 ND for the EU is 56.00.513B. There is also a note that updates to that version must be done according to update procedure SI (R115/13). There may well be a vers...

Re: Where are UK CX 3s manufactured?
I've just come across a Mazda document about the VIN for general RHD spec., so I thought I'd dig up this old thread and update it: 1,2,3: World manufacturer identification (JM6 = Japan-Mazda) 4,5: Carline series (DK = Mazda CX-3) 6: Drive axle (2 = 2WD, 4 = 4WD) 7: Body style (W = Wagon) 8: Engine t...

Re: Paint protection & front sensors as extras?
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection is only £11.19 a bottle from Halfords. It's not lifetime, but an application lasts at least 4 months in my experience, and there's plenty in a bottle.

I can't answer your question, but there are third party OBD port locking solutions out there. For example, https://sailesmarketing.com/shop/obdsav ... mazda-cx5/

Re: Break down :(
Good news that it got you back home. Do you live far from your dealer? If practical, I would drop the car 'round there in the morning and get them to tighten up the bolt whilst you wait. If the repair guy files a report that he didn't tighten it, and you get the dealer to do it, they can't blame you...
