Re: New changes for mid-2018 model

I am happy to just listen to the radio or play a CD, which is all the technology I want or need.

My only gripe is having to turn up the volume higher than I would like in order to overcome the relentless road noise.

Neither have I. Every time I wash the car I open the bonnet and check all the levels. Old habits die hard.

Re: Infotainment system not playing DAB radio

I took the car out yesterday evening (only a light dusting of snow here) listened to BBC Radio 3 and got no traffic announcements. Hopefully the problem has finally been solved, thanks to this forum.

Re: Infotainment system not playing DAB radio

Sounds a bit like cricket. When you go OUT to bat you are considered to be IN, and when your opponent gets you OUT you go back IN to the pavilion! I will now go into the garage, press "TA Off" and let you know what happens tomorrow. I grew up driving cars with simple push buttons and rocke...

I have tried this many times, confirming that the screen shows "TA Off", but still the unwanted announcements come.
Either I or the car are doing something wrong, and I suspect that it is the car.

Re: Infotainment system not playing DAB radio

I have a cheap and cheerful dashcam fitted, £30 from Lidl, but it does not affect the DAB radio reception in any way. My problem with the infotainment system is the traffic announcements. Nothing, but nothing, I do will stop them. I turn them off on the touch screen and on the centre console control...

Re: i stop

Personally I just cannot see the benefit of the iStop. A disconcerting annoyance as far as I'm concerned. I agree with 1Monty. On 6000 miles a year in rural Somerset any fuel or emissions saving from iStop is infinitesimal, and is not worth the annoyance of the stupid gimmick switching the engine o...

Re: New changes for mid-2018 model

I see from the pictures that the control knobs on the centre console have indeed been moved to a more convenient location. The fascia fresh air vents also appear to have been re-positioned a little higher, so perhaps fresh air will now be available at face level where it is most needed. Is it possib...

Re: New changes for mid-2018 model

My initial reactions to the new changes are : 1. Whilst I deplore the loss of the conventional handbrake, an electronic one would permit the fitment of...... 2. A properly designed centre armrest. The current accessory armrest is a badly designed afterthought. 3. I have full leather seats in my Rove...

Re: Hi Everyone

Paint protection applied pre-delivery free of charge. The car is always garaged, and after 17 months still shines up well with only regular washing and a little shampoo added to the water. I always use rainwater in the bucket and rinse with watering cans. My water supply is metered, so I collect and...
