Re: Key fob battery

The cost of a new key fob battery and fitting it when a car is booked in for an annual service could easily be buried in the usual miscellaneous consumables add-on and by adding 0.1 labour hours to the book time for carrying out the service.

Re: Mazda recalls over 220,000 cars, including CX-3 and Mazda3, for rear-view camera issue

I'm sure it wouldn't warrant a safety recall in the UK. After all, there are still door mirrors and an inside mirror to aid with reversing, as happened for many millions - even billions - of drivers for decades pre rear view camera installation!

Door mirror cover replacement - DIY isn't always the cheapest method!

A couple of years ago I reversed out of my garage and clumsily managed to break the passenger door mirror cover into 2 pieces by catching it on the brick door surround. Oops   As a “temporary” fix I taped the broken cover back in place and it lasted a couple of years like that. DIY chang...

Re: Key fob battery

I've had Mazda dealers recommend when my car was in for a service that the key fob battery is low and needs replacing. They said they'd replace it for £20 or £15 charge! I declined and did it myself. Would have thought for the cost of an annual service it could include a free battery replacement. Re...

Re: Sat nav settings fuel prices.

I use the free Petrol Prices app on my iPhone - probably on Android as well. It isn't bang up to date as it relies on motorists updating the information. Be interesting to see if the Government's plans for fuel stations to provide current pricing information is supplied to apps such as Petrol Prices...

Re: Service advice and costs

Sounds a good plan. Might want to consider adding a brake fluid change if it wasn't done last year. A cabin filter - the one installed behind the glovebox - is also due every 2 years but it is easy enough to do yourself as the glovebox is simple to remove by pressing in the side. The major service w...

Re: Service advice and costs

Most interesting the differences in cost between a “major” and “minor” service. I’m finding that independent garages just offer either of these as a norm for all makes. They don’t seem to know about the £500+ Mazda one-but I can easily understand the plugs cost. My mileage is 21000 by the way I am a...

Re: Beam deflectors

Many thanks. It's a pity this information is not in the manual! I hadn't found anything in my manual which is dated mid 2015. Seems they did finally add something to the manual by mid 2018, as I found this in an July 2018 electronic version - see the attached extract Mazda CX-3 Headlights Optical A...

It happened to a friend of mine at a traffic light stop, though she wasn't driving a Mazda.

Thanks

Re: Beam deflectors

Are beam deflectors required for EU travel? - CX-3 (2017) As there aren't any guiding lines on the glass, are deflectors required. I can't find anything to help on the internet. Mazda did issue a Technical Service Bulletin back in September 2015 that applied to all their European range of vehicles,...
