Re: rust on underbody
That's about par for the course. I had mine waxoyled last year at 4 years old. My, then, dealer had started showing videos of the safety inspection and the underside looked a mess. I live in a coastal region but frequently underbody wash with a jet washer.

Fob batteries
For 11 years I owned a Honda I cannot remember ever changing the battery in the key fob. I assume the dealer did it as a courtesy.
No such luck with my 5 year old Mazda. Although this won't be a problem for all the lease purchasers out there I suppose. Average lease is 27 months they tell me.

Re: Need to vent about Hendy Group
As a follow-up; Mazda agreed to pay for the seat belt replacement otherwise it would have cost £207 plus labour. But one front tyre - I chose Continental - was billed at £240!! That is until I complained. A Brighton tyre fitter was offering £150 all in.They gave me a measly 15% off; still not compet...

Need to vent about Hendy Group
Bloody Hendy! Took my car in today for a service and MOT. I knew the rear seat belt would not retract so mentioned it to the reception 'engineer'. He said they might have to replace it. I said it was the ball in the saucer most likely jammed and just needed taking apart, cleaning and re-assembling. ...

Thanks, I like the green text in the inimitable style of ASH8 - even captured his wont for capitalization; love it.

Re: Sat Nav Favourites - Voice Commands
I used it via the wireless, I pretty much want a full wireless set up. Wireless will always be poor not because of external equipment but because the low spec. processor in the CMU supplied by Mazda. Mazda AA doesn't implement wireless; probably for the reason of its underpowered processor. You can...

Re: Sat Nav Favourites - Voice Commands
A number of problems with this solution...if you go down the official route it is £350 for Android Auto, then you have an ugly trailing wire from your phone and the worst for me is you lose the heads up display BUT i do agree it is better for navigation as i prefer Waze and a route i may have to go ...

Re: European but not an EU member state
For frequent European trips there is one company that offers 24/7 total European cover along with green card so no need to call up on a every trip and no time limit - https://www.stuartcollins.com (AXA) You seem pleased anticipating Brexit with such alacrity. I hate to have to break it to you, old ...

Re: Sat Nav Favourites - Voice Commands
Forget the Mazda offerings; use Adroid Auto, (or Car Play, if you must), and all your troubles are over. Voice control and no map subscriptions and pesky updates needed.
