sign recognition
Hello all, During my car's recall for DC DC work I mentioned the seeming inability for the forward camera to actually read road signs, witnessed when the mapping information is out of date, or non existent, and we drive past new speed limit signs without a hint of recognition. The dealer explanation...

Re: Tec'
Why doesn't it do what it says it should do? That is my frustration, and when I feel that frustration overwhelming me I go and play with my early 70's MGB's which don't even have a cup holder!!

Re: i stop/road sign recognition
According to the dealer, it only reads road signs when the Sat Nav is functioning!! Not sure whether that is just ''bull*****t". Yet to be tested, probably in the same village!

Re: Cruise Control Queries
Mine is the same, i have set at 39 to get 40mph. Sometimes it just loses the plot altogether!!! I've seen 34 when set to 29!! Don't have the change problem though.

Re: Traffic sign recognition (TSR)
Just to prove the point, seemingly, I drove through a village with clearly marked, large variety, speed limit signs this morning, but presumably there were no speed limit details on the mapping. There was no speed limit display, at all, just blank, on the HUD. It didn't pick up the national speed li...

i stop/road sign recognition
My i stop didn't work today. Reason the circulation fan was running, only on a low setting with no AC involvement. As soon as I turned the fan off it worked. So now I know I don't have to rely on the button, and my memory, to cancel it!! AND further to the road sign recognition issue. I drove throug...

Re: Traffic sign recognition (TSR)
Mine is the same, always defers to the mapping data and completely ignores the road signs, whatever speed you are doing.
Particularly when a forty has been reduced and you miss the sign, and 30's often haven't got repeat reminders. I've never seen any other signs displayed other than speed limits.

Re: Jerky ride
I discovered the other day, how to display the I-eloop, recovery mechanism on the centre screen. The hunting/lurching/jerky effect seems to coincide with the generator for the capacitor charging system cutting in and out. Could it be the on-off generator load on the drive system causing this jerkine...
