Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
I have also just learnt that are there two EGRs (a high pressure one and a low pressure one) and an EGR cooler which will all fill up with cr@p over time! I am keen to track down the upstream Lambda/O2 sensor and try and clean it. Do you have any idea where it is? With regards the suspension, I don...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
Some really useful information here. Mis- fueling as car is one of my reasons not to drive a diesel. I simply dont trust myself. Modern diesels seem to be very susceptible to having issues with running on petrol. More than 40 years ago, we would routinely run landrover diesels with a gallon of petr...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
I think keeping revs up during a regen creates more heat in the exhaust/DPF helping to burn off any particulates. Mine takes roughly a similar amount of time to complete but i've noticed since using the diesel additive, It seems to take a little longer, might be wrong but just seems that way... My s...

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
I was going to use that phrase but thought it a bit iffy ha ha... Yep i was thinking the same about the EGR valve, Can't hurt to give it a good clean, going to try and keep it clean as it might prevent problems in the future.

Re: Issues after misfuelling 1.5 diesel
I checked the EGR pipe on mine a few months ago, and it was the same, thick black oily soot deposits. I cleaned what i could see with some brake cleaner.. Don't think these problems are unique to Mazda, All modern diesels are like this due to strict emissions and to be fair petrol engines suffer fro...

Re: Apple Car Play
I have both 🤣. Larger than phone infotainment display for the navigation map & the Waze app then uses the phone screen for a turn-by-turn vertical list of the planned route. But, agree, it doesn’t suit everyone. I was going to install it but i thought it did more than what it actually does. Don...

Re: Suspect Defective Speed Sensor
Had this on my old Skoda. When an ABS wheel sensor goes, It throws up loads of different fault lights. Get yourself a cheap OBDII code reader, Plug it in and it will tell you which sensor has failed.

Re: Apple Car Play
So if it's really just to mirror your phones display. Just as easy to use a good phone holder instead of pulling out half the dash to install it.

Re: Apple Car Play
So is it basically just a way of mirroring what's on your phones screen. Google maps, Waze etc or can the system do anything else.
