Fitting new horns

Can i drill the rivets out on the plastic panel that is fixed to the grill under the bonnet and do it that way? Th...

Re: Road noise

What tyres have you got fitted? It seems a common thing with these cars, It's one of the first impressions i got of the car when i bought it, How bad the road noise was.

Re: 1.5 skyactiv diesel Remap and/or DPF delete anyone?

Hi, Thanks for that. The wagons that i've driven don't have anything to start a regen. The one i drive at the moment is a Mercedes, The only way i know it's doing a regen is there is a green light shows up next to AdBlue gauge on the dash, The engine note changes and there is a right stink from the ...

Re: 1.5 skyactiv diesel Remap and/or DPF delete anyone?

Getting off topic slightly but, How can i tell that the car is doing a regen? I've always gone on the fact that the cooling fan is running after the engine is switched off (which i try to avoid), But is there any other way of telling. I drive an HGV and there's a light comes on to indicate it's in r...

Re: Red Key Symbol on dash on attempted Emergency Start & Thoughts on Start/Stop effect on Main Battery Lifetime

Your car is a 2016 so battery probably needs changing, don't seem to last as long as they used to.. Low battery will cause weird things on the car. As for stop start, I switch it off, I don't like it and it kills batteries.

Re: Flashing Wrench Light

I'd heard some horror stories about changing the filter but after watching the mechanic change the filter there's not much to it. I was a bit concerned when he opened the bonnet and started looking for the filter :).. It was obvious he hadn't done a CX 3 before, But i pointed him in the right direct...

Re: Flashing Wrench Light

I was a bit worried about changing the filter myself so i took it to my local garage (Not mazda), They just unscrewed the old filter and caught he excess diesel that was in the filter, It was black,, screwed new fiter on and started the engine which cut out after about a minute, Cracked it over and ...

Re: tyre speed ratings

Don't forget the general ruling of all major tyre manufacturers is that if you are only fitting two tyres then you need to fit them to the rear i.e. in your case it means switching the current rears to the front and put the new tyres on the rear. This is irrespective of whether the car is front / r...
