Re: USB album track reading

Not all CD's have track info (CD Text) embedded. Wait till you get the re-naming of bands I got on my CX-3. Gracenote needs constant updating but Mazda has only updated it once in the last 2 years. What version do you have? V7 was released Sept 2016 and V8 Dec 2017. I've updated mine twice. I don't...

Not sure. There is an advisory from Mazda knocking around that probably has vin numbers on it. Someone will likely be along shortly.

Re: And So It Begins ...

Had the air con control panel changed today..... Everyone needs the control.panel changing if you have an early edition CX3; assembled before Mazda corrected software production errors You may not notice the software getting confused at 10 or 11 degrees Celsius external air temperature, but it does.

Gunmetal wheels: touch up paint.

Mazda according to folk lore don't provide a touch-up paint code for its 18" diamond-cut gunmetal wheels.

Auotcolourz.co.uk has a dark-gunmetal, code BE, from the manufacturer Kia. It works surprisingly well at matching Mazda's colour. I bought mine from autocolourz shop on eBay.

Re: Cleaning after 6 months / 13k miles

Interesting thread - never used a clay bar (or mitt) but do use the 2 bucket method with 2 microfibre mitts and a chemical guys (iirc?) drying sheet, along with more thick microfibre cloths for applying/buffing a range of Autoglym products. Recently bought an Autobrite snowfoam lance for the Karche...

Re: Cleaning after 6 months / 13k miles

You just use the mitt until it wears out, you don’t replace the clay. When claying a car you fold any contamination into the clay bar to reveal a clean surface. I'd be worried that extensive use of clay mitt would eventually do more harm than good. Also for removing iron embedded in paintwork there...
