I realise in this instance I'll have to pay the agreed excess to our insurers but wonder ...

Re: Heads up display

From the Settings icon select the 'AD-Disp' tab. One of the options is to turn off the Active Display indication. I think it leaves the combiner screen sticking up though; just doesn't display anything on it when set to Off.

Re: Call Mazda First???

... As always when making a claim be sure the actual cost of the repair is less than your excess plus the 5 years of higher car insurance that you will pay. Over the years, touch wood, we have had 5-6 non fault accidents and I have always dealt direct with the "at faults" insurers and nev...

Re: Towing eyelets

The 2018 Owner's Manual shows the long eyelet is stored in a cutout specifically shaped to hold it, whereas the short one is just loose in a bag and tucked away. That's how it is in my 2015 too.

Why do we need two different lengths?

Re: New Battery - Good Price?

FYI - a new Q85 battery from a Mazda dealer should be £107.97 + VAT for the Petrol engine and £135.62 + VAT for a stop/start battery for the Diesel engine. Fitting is often free but check.
