Re: i stop
Unlike starting the car normally, Mazda’s i-stop restarts the engine through combustion; fuel is directly injected into a cylinder while the engine is stopped and ignited to generate downward piston force. I-stop operates the starter motor for less than a second to assist engine restarting.

Re: Connect Services for "Online Traffic"
I've never tried the Mazda Connected Services, but I know Gus has, and is not at all impressed with the accuracy of the, so called, Live Traffic service.

Re: Honestjohn owners survey
It was a survey in 2017 and the article says they had more than 10,000 responses (10,001?). It doesn't say how many votes were for each model, so results may be a bit skewed.

Re: Mark all posts as read button gone
'Mark topics read' is not something I've used as I read every topic anyway. Santa, whilst on the home page, if you click 'unread', then click 'mark all read' will that achieve what you're after?

Re: Oil Level
DaveG I have removed the accidental duplicate posts as requested. goldhillman, all I know is that in the manual it says "CAUTION, Do not overfill the engine oil. This may cause engine damage." There may be a bit of leeway so that a small amount over MAX will not do any harm. However if it ...

Re: I-stop data please let me know yours, just for interest.
Glad to read you got a new battery. You just need to keep it charged up now. particularly if you're doing infrequent and short trips. i-stop improves fuel economy by approximately eight percent (under Japan's JC08 mode test cycle) and of course there is no exhaust pollution when the engine isn't run...
