The 2018 Owner's Manual shows the long eyelet is stored in a cutout specifically shaped to hold it, whereas the short one is just loose in a bag and tucked away. That's how it is in my 2015 too.

Why do we need two different lengths?

FYI - a new Q85 battery from a Mazda dealer should be £107.97 + VAT for the Petrol engine and £135.62 + VAT for a stop/start battery for the Diesel engine. Fitting is often free but check.

Probably now needs an Operating System update on the infotainment unit. A dealer can do it but will probably charge as car is out of warranty. OS updates are not released to the general public, but can be DIY if you have the files and can follow instructions to the letter. Send a private message to ...
