The 2018 Owner's Manual shows the long eyelet is stored in a cutout specifically shaped to hold it, whereas the short one is just loose in a bag and tucked away. That's how it is in my 2015 too.

FYI - a new Q85 battery from a Mazda dealer should be £107.97 + VAT for the Petrol engine and £135.62 + VAT for a stop/start battery for the Diesel engine. Fitting is often free but check.

Probably now needs an Operating System update on the infotainment unit. A dealer can do it but will probably charge as car is out of warranty.
