Difference between outside and inside temperature and/or battery below 80% charge are the common issues at this time of year.

Re: Reversing camera view changed
On page 4-209 of the 2017 CX-5 Owner's manual it describes the available view choices on the 360° view monitor from the front, side & rear cameras (some models), and there is the choice of rear or rear wide view by tapping an icon on the screen. Pages 4-262 & 4-265 shows the wide view only f...

Re: Wiper blades
I've had the Bosch Aerotwin flat wiper blades on my windscreen for a few months now. They've been very good so far. http://uk.bosch-automotive.com/en_GB/parts_and_accessories_2/service_parts_1/wipers_1/aerotwin_flat_wiper_blades/aerotwin_flat_wiper_blades_1 I got AR18U and AR22U from my local Halfor...

Re: One new car sale lost - Is this now the norm?
Someone asked the European Parliament about making a copy of proof of identity documents as a condition of concluding a service contract: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/E-8-2018-001840_EN.html and this was the reply: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/E-8-2018-001840-ASW_EN.h...

Re: has anyone taken the outside mirror apart?
Never done it, but I believe the correct way to remove the rear cover is to remove the mirror glass and then poke the little clips that hold the cover on. There's a diagram of the CX-5 mirror (which is pretty similar) here - http://www.mcx5.org/outer_mirror_garnish_removal_installation-730.html and ...

Re: sign recognition
I haven't got TSR, but there's nothing in the Owner's Manual to suggest that you have to be using the Sat Nav, only that the SD Card is installed. It won't work if there's a malfunction in the Forward Sensing Camera, and obviously it doesn't work if the Active Display is set to non-display or TSR is...

Re: What's your tyre pressures.
Call me old fashioned, but I use the tyre pressure chart that Mazda stuck on the driver's side door frame. Going much over or under the recommended, and you run the risk of abnormal tread wear and reduced grip. Over inflation wears the middle part of the tyre and under inflation wears the outside ed...

Re: dash cams
Whilst my front camera isn't the same, I mounted it in a similar place to Steve. The UK Road Traffic Act 1988 regulations state that a camera must not intrude more than 4cm into the secondary wiper clearance zone, or more than 1cm into the primary zone. The primary zone is a 29cm wide band centred o...
