I meant to add that I always carry a jump start pack, just in case I ever have a problem. You have to remember to keep it charge though.

I always run mine for 30 minutes every two weeks if I'm not using it. I have left it for 4 weeks and it has been fine. It all depends on the condition of your battery.

Usually around 12 months.

I think it depends on how much you use it. Mine isn't an everyday car as I have the MX5, so I change mine every two years which hasn't caused me a problem as yet.
