I asked the question about the sensors not picking up an obstacle at an angle and this apparantly, is quite correct. Each one will only see the area straight ahead of it. They dont 'fan out'. I'm not sure if this is correct..................On my Nissan Qashqai the "fan out" angle was nar...

Mine froze this week but I noticed the mirror was slow to move so quickly locked the car again. Good tip about the spray.

My front sensors stay activated for the duration of the manoeuvring once reverse has been selected. Quite simple really........ .

No switches it is activated by selecting reverse (auto box) goes off with speed. Need to reactivate at each parking, bit of a pain until you get used to it. Several manufacturers use heated front screens now, not just Ford. My Nissan Qashqai had one.
