I haven't set up play lists but created Folders for each artist. Then dragged the songs from itunes to the relevant folder. You can then view by Albums, Artists, Songs, Genre etc.
Thanks - as you say, much neater than leaving an iPod in the cubby hole.
I would have preferred it if Mazda had put the USB ports in the glove box, out of sight.

Interesting to see the packaging states it's USB3. I assume that is correct and works ok in the cars USB point.

A USB 3.0 drive works in a USB 2.0 just the transfer speed if used on a PC will be reduced to USB 2.0

I have USB 3.0 drives in my car and they work with no issue

Miraculously one of these USB drives appears in my Christmas stocking.

A quick test and it really is as simple as copy a few iTunes files, for the selected music, to the USB, plug into the USB port in the car’s console and off we go.

Just transferring a load of music folders onto the USB now. Will let you know how it goes and about the artwork.

Just tried the USB out, and artwork is showing. And WOW, what a difference in sound when playing mp3 tracks. The base certainly kicks in now.

I highlighted a whole lot of saved music folders on my PC and then right clicked and clicked on 'Send to', the USB.
