Christmas greetings to everyone on the forum! The wife and I picked up our new car today. Nice journey home from Bristol in good weather + the added bonus of no tolls on the Severn bridge. Impressed with the drive, comfort and features of the car. I'm sure I will have some questions and comments in the coming weeks.

I noticed the two round brackets at the rear of your car. Is that the removable towbar? If it is it's very different to the one on my vehicle.

Yes it,s a detachable tow bar. I had it fitted at the Mazda dealer by a local tow bar specialist they always use. Rather that than Mazda technicians who don't have much experience of fitting these. Not sure of the make but I will let you know when I've had time to have a good look tomorrow. I intend to use it for a 2 bike carrier.

The reason I asked is that my detachable towbar fixing is completely hidden when the towbar is removed. I even have a plastic plate which fits over the trim cut out.
Mazda fitted mine perfectly. However when Vauxhall fitted one to my Corsa 5 years ago it then failed it's MOT due to an unsafe towbar - they hadn't fitted all the required fixing bolts.
Anyway, congrats on your new motor. Excellent choice.

Recently I have been thinking about changing for a CX-5 but having looked at your pictures, especially the new style of wheels, I have just realised how good looking the CX-3 is. If only they would add a sunroof to the UK spec - it would be perfect.
