A new issue when it comes to mp3 playback in the car has arisen since the last software update.

The infotainment system is now 'helpfully' re-naming at random some of the artists.

There is no issue with the meta-tags on the files, in fact if you go into the route directory you can see everything's correct. However once selected or if you go in via Artist, the name is incorrect.

One example would be a band called Blood Red Saints which the car insists are called Blood Red Shoes!

Mazda UK are their normal useless self regarding infotainment issues...........sigh

I think this is the Gracenote database renaming some of the artists.
It happens to a few of my mp3 tracks as well.
I would love an option to be able to disable the Gracenote database and show meta-tags instead,

Oh I know Gracenote is the issue. Been banging on at Mazda for months about what a waste of time it is. Their response.....speak to Gracenote!

Mazda haven't updated Gracenote in over a year which is madness. If your going to embed it in your software then learn a bit more about it.
