Sevice light after 1800 miles?

I have the service spanner on my dash. Went to the maintenance screen and my oil lifel is at 50% and im due a service now?
Its a 2.0 petrol and I have only driven 1800 miles?

Norman, from your screenshot, it's the number of days to first service that's elapsed. I don't know if they've changed it on the new models, but for my car the first service is 12 months or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first. I believe you got your car in July last year, which makes me think it wasn't set to 12 months from day 1.

Check your owner's manual or with your dealer when the first service should be due for your car. If it's 12 months then you can select the scheduled time on the screen and change it to 6 months from today. You get the service spanner reminder when the remaining distance is less than 600 miles or remaining number of days is less than 15, whichever comes first.

I was reluctant to change any settings in case it invalidated my warranty.
