We have a CX3 and despite setting the home address on the sat nav it doesn't pick it up when I'm on the drive. It seems to pick up the roads and streets travelling to home but insists we are on the street at the bottom of the road. This is approximately 100 - 150 metres away and bearing in mind the sat nav says it's getting info from 8 satellites I thought it might be more accurate. Any ideas or how to get it to recognise the address or improve the accuracy??

Sometimes the map data is incorrect for house numbers. (I have a relative whose house number is incorrectly placed on both the Mazda map and the TomTom map).

To replace your saved home location with your actual physical location, park your car on your drive and start the engine. Press the Favourites * button on the commander switch, then select the Navigation tab on the MZD Connect screen. Select Add/Edit Navigation Favourite, select Home, select Add Current Location.

It's also worth checking with your dealer that you have the latest OS for MZD Connect installed. If not, they can update it (free of charge if the car is still within the manufacturer's three year warranty).

You should also check that you have the latest map installed - instructions here: http://infotainment.mazdahandsfree.com/ ... uage=en-EU

If all that fails to fix the issue, it's something you'll have to live with.

As an aside, some people actually prefer not to save their real address as their home address, choosing a nearby road instead, so that if the car is ever stolen the thief can't navigate back to the house whilst the owner is known to be away.

Not possible in my experience. Mine will recognise the street sometimes but not the number. On a long road that could leave you way off. Sometimes it will let me enter an address and then navigate to completely different place, or just say "arrive at destination on left" when there are no properties in sight. When I set off somewhere, It has a great propensity for wanting me to drive "through" my garage, "through" two neighbours gardens and neighbours house then take 3 lefts to get me 30 metres from where I am!!
The dealer has had it and the "Here" software is up to date, it's just rubbish sometimes, yet can work perfectly on occasion!
