is the sat nav purely visual for directions or is there a sound menu somewhere ?

It does have sound.
2018 CX3+ Sport Nav 120 Petrol Manual. Machine Grey.
Once you have a route set. As soon as you get a visual direction on the MZD Connect screen and the Active Display screen, adjust the volume of the sat nav directions using the volume knob next to the Command Wheel in the centre console. It saves the sat nav volume separately from other audio volume settings.
