Hi

I'm a new CX-3 owner, having owned a Hyundai. On my i30 the USB used to remember where I turned it off, so it started playing the same track again but on my CX-3 it always seems to go back to the beginning of the 1st folder on the USB key and doesn't remember where it was turned off.

is this a common issue, the USB key is FAT32, in fact its the same one I used in my old i30 I just plugged it in my Mazda.

Thanks

Hi is this on a second-hand CX-3?

An update to the Operating System of the MZD-Connect system will probably fix the issue you describe. Your Mazda dealer can carry out the update free of charge if the car is still in the manufacturer's warranty period, otherwise it's chargeable. It takes about 45 mins to do.

You can check the current Operating System version by selecting the Settings cog icon on the home screen, then select System tab, then About - Version Information. You may have an early version 56.xx installed and if so would benefit from version 70.xx.

Please can you add details of your CX-3 to your forum signature and add your geographical location - see this post for instructions: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=808

54.xx is quite old.
32GB FAT32 USB is fine. Folders of .mp3's off the root directory for each album. Best created via Windows as Apple Mac's create hidden files that need to be stripped out otherwise they cause issues.
You could try another USB memory stick if you have one available, but my hunch is that a later Operating System will sort it.

Thanks, just need to convince my dealer to update the firmware now. Mine doesn't have Apple/Android Play. Be good to know a list of bug fixes 70.0 gives if there is a list anywhere.

Info about what each update fixes is very scarce. There have been a number of versions since 54. A dealer shouldn't need much convincing, you just need to give them the reason/s you want it doing and book it in. They will claim back a certain amount of money from Mazda UK for carrying it out under warranty.

If you mention a couple of these it should be enough for them to do it and claim from Mazda UK under warranty (I did get an e-mail reply in advance from Mazda UK Assistance confirming that "Mazda would cover this under the warranty period therefore there would be no charge to yourself") :-

"Speed limit does not show up on the navigation screen on some narrower roads"
"When setting a destination using the address, House Number not found error pops-up even if the address can actually be set."
"When trying to enter a new destination address, a different house number may appear as a destination while correct house number is actually set."
"When trying to enter a new destination address, some house numbers may not appear in the list to be selected from."

I did this when I had mine in for its 3rd yr service and it was upgraded from 59.00.502 to 70.00.021. I do not have Apple CarPlay / Android Auto installed.

Thanks, mine doesn't show speed limits, I didn't think it had that option.

It's in Navigation > Map Settings > Warning Settings > Speed Limit > Always

But anyway, you already have a valid reason for getting the OS update done.
