Can anyone advise me about a strange event that has just occurred. I have a 2018 (October) CX3 Sat Nav+. When I parked the car this evening, I pressed the door handle button and the car duly locked itself. After the function I had attended finished, I went to the car (it was dark by this time), but strangely, as I approached the car, the cars indicator lights flashed just once, is if to acknowledge that it recognised me!!! I don't recall this ever happening before. I still had to press the door handle button to unlock the car, so the flashing lights hadn't unlocked the car. Is this normal, or do I potentially, have a fault :?: I know that the car has the 'coming home' function, but the handbook doesn't mention anything about the flashers coming on!
Thanks for any info.

Have you got a Sport Nav+ with Advanced Keyless function? If so, I presume you've disabled walk-away auto locking, which is why you locked with the door request button (NB. to activate the more secure double- locking you need to press the button twice within 3 seconds). Perhaps something in your pocket pressed the lock button on the key fob as you approached the car which caused the hazard lights to flash once?

DaveG, if double-locked, the door cannot be opened from the inside (so breaking a window and pulling the inside handle won't work). It's described on pages 3-11 and 3-12 of the 2018 Owner's Manual (version 8GT4) that I got from the Mazda UK website.

I do have the Sport Nav+ advanced keyless function, which is what I generally use. But on this occasion, I elected to use the door handle button. The car has behaved perfectly tonight, again using the button. Maybe as you say, it was a case of the button being accidentally pressed, but then, surely that would have unlocked the car, so by pressing the door handle button, the car would have relocked itself which it didn't; it unlocked the door!
Strange; but I shan't lose any sleep over it!
Thanks for your advice JT

Not if it was the lock button on the fob; that would just flash the hazards once and leave the car locked.
