Not at the moment. However, for me at least, it's not a problem as the voice prompts tell you in advance and at a junction of your next move, so the inclusion of a basic graphic on the Active Display just isn't needed.
Out of date, thus untrue, I am sorry to have to report.

AA from Mazda tweaks.com gives turn information and distance countdown on the Heads-up display.
Maps display on the screen as usual.
Mazda paint is crap! Mazda should be ashamed of themselves!.

Is it a straightforward job, or will one erroneous key-press wipe out everything on the memory card?

Any instructions that make sense to a non techy guy would be appreciated.
It's quite straightforward to do. Download and install Mazda Toolbox for Windows or Mac., then take your SD Card out of your car and insert in your computer. Open Mazda Toolbox and register an account , then follow the instructions for installing available updates.
The software and 'How to' guide are available by starting here:

As you are well aware, Boyle, I'm referring to the official Mazda offering, and not any unofficial 'tweaks'.

You mean Mazda AA doesn't have it? It's amazing then the neck of Mazda to charge £350 for an inferior "Official" product.
I'm rocking the Tweaks version and suggest any one else who is mildly literate seriously consider doing the same.
Better product; better price and the touch screen still works. Withhold the Mazda Tax!

You can download Mazda Toolbox here https://mazda.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads and install it on your PC, after registration you can take out you memory-card in the car, and put it in PC, afterwards the procedure speaks for it self - very easy :)
