I have owned my 2017 CX-3 for a week and was advised by the salesman at Mazda to update my maps before the three years run out. I tried to do this today but the process stalled at 100% download (I waited 30 mins) and I don't know what to do.

There was no way out except to click cancel and when I did I got a warning about the SD card being inoperable. I had no choice so closed the programme.

What to do, please?

Thanks :)

It's never happened to me so I can't be sure.
Does the SD card still work in the car? If not, and some files are now missing or corrupt, you should be able to use the Toolbox software to restore the original configuration from the backup file that you made before starting the update download.
Failing that, you could try contacting the Naviextras customer service centre at 0800 4263 738 (Germany) or 00800 4263 7383 (Europe/International) or +49 721 5099 8198 (Worldwide), or contact your dealer once they're open for business.

If you have trouble getting through to the numbers jtonline has supplied in the current situation, you might find an e-mail to support@mazdahandsfree-eu.com with details of the problem will get you assistance. I'm sure that's who I was contacting a year or so ago when the update process was failing due to an error with the data on my SD card. In recent years I have also had the problem you mentioned on at least one occasion, but I'm sure trying it another day was fully successful.

Thanks, st3v3cx-3.
Another thought, although a bit of a long shot; double check that the SD Card hasn't become physically locked. i.e. Locate the small switch on the side of the SD card and ensure it's slid up towards the end with the notch. If it's not unlocked the software will be unable to write to the card. Then try again.

Thanks all. I did a complete 'turn it off and turn it on again' and the download picked up where it had stopped and all was well in the end.

Happy days. Now I just need to be able to actually drive it somewhere..

Stay well everybody!

Did mine today as I've been given notice the updates will run out at the end of June. Only took 7.5 minutes to download & install.
