My Mazda CX-3 2.0 Sports Nav AWD Auto 2018, COLOUR "Machine Grey" has acquired a couple of stone chips on the bonnet, I obtained the correct touch up paint kit from my Mazda dealer, and tried to touch up the stone chips. The colour match was dreadful far to dark and made even worse when I applied the finishing lacquer, I carried out the correct application procedure. On this Forum there is a post about matching up the paint on the alloy wheels of my car, and it mentioned that Mazda "Meteor Grey" was a good match for touching up any scuff marks on the wheels. As I had a slight scuff mark on a wheel I purchased the paint from eBay seller 25ML bottle, it turned out to be a reasonable match. Now back to my stone chips on the bonnet, being extremely disappointed with the stone chip repair using the genuine Mazda kit, I then removed the Mazda Touch Up paint I had applied to the stone chips, and applied the Meteor Grey colour after giving the bottle a good shake, and it is a perfect match, far better than the genuine Mazda Machine Grey touch up paint, and the other advantage is that it contains the lacquer in the touch up paint, so it's a one stop application. I am delighted with the finished result, so I would suggest that anyone who has a similar coloured Mazda car try this colour, the cost of the 25ML bottle is £5.99 with free postage, eBay item code number 302342755316, this will give you access to the seller's advert, then chose paint type and then color.

that's very interesting. I got a perfect match for my Mazda "Machine Grey" but will certainly check out code number 302342755316 for the wheels should they get damaged at some point

Quick tip-Please forgive the lateness ,but I've just spotted this. For small scratches and scuffs I have found a coat or three of shoe polish totally adequate for mini paint replacing jobs. For me it's a small black round tin costing a £1. You can get grey polish too. It may not be your exact match-but it'll be adequate or temporary depending on how conscientious you are. Plus-if it doesn't work for you--it would soon t-cut /rub off...

The polish 'ColourMagic' also has (had?) a small tube of coloured wax in a lipstick type applicator alongside the bottle for those tiny stone chips that was also easily removed, but covered the unsightly chips until you decided on more permanent repair.
