would anyone know the paint colour code for the black shiny plastic on the cx3 wing mirrors if there is one as there's a mark I'd like to get rid of? I guess someone passing the car and the mirror got marked by something
thanks

The door mirror caps are usually the same as the body colour, but because yours is the Sport Black+ Special Edition they are black.
Hand application of Meguiar's Ultimate Compound may be able to remove the mark - I found it to be quite gentle even on Mazda's thin clear coat. https://www.meguiars.co.uk/shop/ultimate-compound
I'll have a look for a paint code (Jet Black Mica is 41W) and if I can confirm what they've used on the mirror caps I'll post it.

OK, I think the paint is a solid colour rather than mica, and therefore my guess is that it's Brilliant Black A3F.
You may want to get Mazda to confirm that though ;)

You can buy a body colour mirror cover as a spare part from Mazda dealers for £36.75 + VAT. I didn't see any black ones on the parts catalogue though :| although they might with your VIN.

OK, if all else fails you can buy a rattle can of A3F and paint both mirror caps to match :D

that's not a bad idea. I'll have a word with my Body shop specialist in Redhill who I've used for the past 20 years to see what's best. buying a new cover is the simplest providing they have the black and its easy to replace. for them to paint a blank however then you're looking at hundreds of pounds which makes your eyes water  or in the past my insurers eyes water

just an update Julian. I've been over to the Mazda dealer who has typically screwed the order up despite me emphasising many times shiny jet black. they received a matt machine grey cover instead. I'm to pick up the new cover on Thursday and let you know the outcome

Hmm., if it was matt then I guess, unlike the pre-painted ones, it was primed & meant to be painted by a bodyshop prior to fitting :?: Let's see what Thursday brings
