In the Netherlands they now sell the new CX-3 model 2021 with cylinder deactivation.
In the showroom I checked the Mazda Connect software version number in the most expensive version the "Signature".
It is 74.00.200 EU N

Does anyone have any information about version numbers starting with 74?

Yes 74.00.200 EU N that is the EU/UK version of latest MZD Connect firmware with BT Wireless Carplay.
I believe this firmware will supersede current 70.00.367A EU N.

Unfortunately you must have the BT CMU for wireless to work which is very expensive.

Mazda Connect Version Update Changes.....

There has been a change in what Version Numbers to now Install and this still also depends on what
Version is currently running in your Mazda today.

Install Procedure...
(All Mazda Models already on Stage 2 .up firmware in use).

IF YOUR MAZDA HAS FIRMWARE VERSION ON or BELOW
55.00.600 NA N for North America, or,
56.00.000 EU N or 4A N for Europe/UK , or Australia, Asia, NZ, Oceania Middle East.
LIKE 31.00.100 or 41.00.000 or 55.00.000 (NA N) or 56.00.000A (EU N or 4A N).
THEN YOU MUST UPDATE with Version Number 70.00.100A First!.
THIS IS A TWO (2) FILE INSTALLATION FOR YOUR REGION or COUNTRY.

70.00.100A-FAILSAFE.UP (First)
Then next Install (one after the other do not remove the USB Flash Drive).
70.00.100A-REINSTALL.UP (Last)

Warning...!!!
DO NOT TURN OFF/ON or START ENGINE BETWEEN THIS
TWO FILE UPDATE, you INSTALL ONE after THE OTHER
DO NOT REMOVE USB FLASH DRIVE.

AFTER INSTALL use YOUR ''CONNECT'' in CAR FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN SHUTDOWN CAR FOR THE LAST FINAL VERSION TO INSTALL.

Next you MUST do final and last below.....

I am a resident of the UK.

I have a Mazda 3 Skyactiv Fastback 2014. (VIN - JMZBM622611121708).

I'm looking to update the OS on the vehicle. I noticed my firmware is below the number 31..., it's on 29...

You say there are two updates, and the first update must be done to avoid any damages.

Please can you supply me with these updates, and also state which to do first?

I'm sure I need the failsafe and update packages for 31...


I'd appreciate your assistance with this.

Mazda don't release the OS update files to the general public. It's supposed to be a 'dealer only' provided service. However, ASH8 can probably provide you with a link to the files he has if you send him a Private Message over at Mazda3Revolution forums where he hangs out most of the time - read this thread - https://www.mazda3revolution.com/thread ... st-2536817
