2016 1.5D Misfiring under load.

Post by turfsire1 » Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:28 pm

Over the last week my car has been misfiring while driving especially when I take turn like elbow or sharp turn where it misfiring when shifting up or down when comes to hills its same behaviour , First time this happened was when driving home after work, the following days there was no signs of stalling misfiring or loss of power thought I got dodgy diesel maybe , this morning 4 days later from previous signs i got into the car while I was driving all the symptoms came back,. Brought car home.. try bring her to friend near by who will have scanner on hand,
I have travel 3 4 hundred miles week due to work good on diesel 2016 model 97k miles , service w/filters change regularly had a new turbo last year, not heard any whizzing sound or the like on turbo but not sure , does anybody think it might be the fuel injectors don't think they ever been changed also should add the DPF light came up with engine light first time of the car stalling but hasn't been on since,
Any ideas on what could be making the car misfire? hopefully I'll be able to get some codes tomorrow.
Thanks in advance Martin.

Hi,
I too have had this problem on my 2016 CX-3 1.5 D. Only in the last week? I has 39000mls on the clock, what mileage has yours? Maybe it a problem at a certain mileage? If you get it sorted, let me know and visa versa, OK.
Good Luck.

In Dec 2019 at 54,000m my 2015 CX-5 would lose power going up hills or when accelerating to overtake. My local Mazda dealer diagnosed a fault with the fuel filter housing and said that Mazda were aware, and had since modified the part.

To supply and fit the modified housing and filter out of warranty would have cost just over £500, and the extended warranty wouldn't cover it because it was a known manufacturing defect. Thankfully, Mazda UK paid as a gesture of goodwill.

I've no idea if that's relevant information for your issues though.
