Hi,

looking to buy a CX-3 as a tow car for a small caravan.

Just sold a Mazda Bongo and previously owned buth Eunos Roadster and CX-7 so do like a Mazda!

There's a GT Sport nearby that has caught my eye but the official Mazda towbar says it won't fit the GT Sport - I assume due to the additional silver trim piece on the rear valance.

Have any GT Sport owners managed to get an aftermarket towbar fitted without issue?

I know a Sport Nav will take one, but this is GT Sport specifically.

Cheers,
Steven

I suspect, as you say, it's all to do with the additional trim. I have a plastic insert that fills the gap if & when I remove the towbar. This is for aesthetic reasons only. But I wonder if doing such on the GT compromises the structural integrity of the trim.
